HANDICRAFTS BY THE HANDICAPPED
Wood Carvings
Since its engagement in the life of Cambodia from refugee camps in Thai-Cambodia border, the Jesuit Service Cambodia has been deeply involved with the accompaniment of those who are most in need, especially the landmine victims. Many people with disabilities have studied skills in carpentry, electricity, agriculture, machine repair, and sewing in Banteay Prieb Technical School for the Handicapped. Those who studied carving went back home with skills to carve various things. In our shop, we sell the religious objects and other objects that they carve to support their families. We also sell scarves women by women in the villages of Tahen and Kumrieng in Battambang, and handicrafts made by mothers in Kompong Rothe in Kompong Thom.
Thank you for supporting our local artisans.
